Session: Injury & Recovery
🔄 Left Shoulder and Elbow Injury from Armbar
This week has been challenging due to an injury sustained during last Saturday's open mat session. While caught in an armbar, my training partner thankfully didn't fully extend, but the strain caused considerable pain in my left shoulder and elbow. Daily tasks, like putting clothes on and off, became difficult and painful. A week later, the injury has partially healed, yet rest remains essential.
My mind is eager to train, but my body clearly demands recovery. Home exercises offer some relief, but they're not enough to satisfy my training ambitions.
💡 Takeaway: An important reminder—listening to your body is crucial. Injuries are tough lessons in patience and self-care. This experience is another reminder for me to respect physical limitations and prioritize recovery.
Looking forward to returning stronger and wiser.
